For sale my dad’s 1959 custom split screen 2 door saloon blue Minor, 2 litre auto. Engine, automatic gearbox, steering column, dash and fuel pump from a 1979 Ford Granada Scorpio. Triumph Herald / Spitfire front suspension with adjustable coilovers and adapted front hubs to take Ford wheels. Triumph Herald steering rack. Mk2 Ford Escort rear axle with adjustable coilovers. Nissan Micra Servo assisted master cylinder brakes. Vauxhall Corsa front seats. Built over two and a half years and used on the road for three years. Copies of Modified Vehicle Report my dad submitted to his insurance company and before, during and after photos included! My parents moved abroad last year and my dad didn’t have time to sell his car. He bought it as an unfinished project – a shell with the 4 inch chopped roof and flip front completed. An experienced custom builder and mechanic friend helped him and the paint work was completed by my dad. He’s a retired accident repair specialist. As it’s not 100% waterproof we are storing it under our carport. I’d love to use it myself but I can’t afford to run two cars. Mot to Jan 2012. Road tax exempt. Body work has a couple of tiny marks but no rust – the car is in excellent condition. More photos available on request. Sensible offers considered. MORRIS MINOR CONVERTIBLE Really nice Convertible recently restored at the Morris Minor Millennium Factory in Manchester with recon-engine and gear box, Full restoration of suspension & brakes and new hood. Wax oiled underneath, New tyres. Restoration only 2 years ago, kept in dry garage used occasionally. Body work in very good condition with new off white hood at time of restoration 2 years ago. Internally carpets like new, seats in good condition. Engine bay like new. Mot Due in Feb 2012 but only done about 500 miles since last one, Road tax free. Open to offers, Can deliver at additional charge anywhere in the UK.
